Need support with managing your social media? The tool I’ll be sharing week I’ve been using for the past few months and I’m totally in love with it: Buffer.
What is Buffer?
Buffer is a social media management application similar to Hootsuite and Sprout Social (both of which I’ve used in the past). With buffer you can manage your social media accounts on Facebook (including profile, page, AND groups), Twitter, Google Plus, LinkedIn(including profile, page, AND groups), and app.net.
What do I love about it?
Okay, so this tool does what every other social management application does and it does more. I love that with Buffer I can schedule posts to go to my profile, page, AND my groups on Facebook. Previous applications I’ve used did not give me the option to schedule posts to go out to my Facebook groups.
Buffer is also intuitive in that it knows the optimal times to post on each social media application. So, when you add something to buffer, it will post that same status at different times on each platform. Of course you can opt out of this and schedule posts at the times you select, but I love that this option is available.
It’s also very easy to use on both your desktop and mobile. Buffer also makes it easy to share articles that you find while surfing the web or browsing your newsfeed on Facebook. Most sharing buttons that you find under articles now have Buffer as an option to choose to instantly add the article to your Buffer feed. It’s really convenient when you’re on the go and want to share something quickly!
Is this a free tool?
Buffer does have a free account option. They also have paid plans depending on how many social media accounts you want to manage.
